Top 10 Best Hollywood Movies
There are a number of films that are set to be released next year. Although release dates have been announced by some films, which have not yet started filming, others have already finished or are in production but do not yet have known release dates. Of course, whittling down a selection tends to be tricky, but the following list of the top 10 best Hollywood movies is an attempt to create the perfect mix of the most anticipated movies to be released next year.
Apart from the weight of history, i.e. Paul Verhoeven’s 1987 film, there is plenty of other things going against José Padilha’s much-publicized remake RoboCop, which is a set to be a reboot of the entire film series. Although next year’s RoboCop remake cannot be expected to the better than the original, but Padilha’s track record, having directed films like Bus 174 and Elite Squad, is a reason to look forward to it.
9. Jupiter Ascending
The combination of the Wachowskis, Mila Kunis and Channing Tatum is enough to get anyone excited, as for the movie itself, Jupiter Ascending has somewhat of a sci-fi Snow White story. Although not much is known about the movie, it is expected to be yet another entry in another trilogy by the Wachowski Siblings. Whatever the case, the film has been described as completely off-the-wall.

8. King Dork
Although the current forecast is that that King Dork is expected to be released in 2014, despite the on and off development, there is no guarantee that it will arrive next year. Nonetheless, Matt Piedmont has been hired as the director. The movie is based on an amazing, brilliant and funny coming-of-age novel, which is quite well-designed for a movie, so it is natural to anticipate the movie’s release.

7. X-Men: Days of Future Past
2011 was supposed to be the year of superheroes, and out of the bunch of superhero movies that were released that year, X-Men: First Class was the best. Of course, X-Men: Days of Future Past marks the return of Matthew Vaughn, so a similar result can be expected; especially it is based on one of the most popular stories in the X-Men universe.

6. The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part I
There are quite a few movie watchers out there who probably feel that like the three Hobbit movies, Mockingjay Part I should not exist. After all, among the Hunger Games novels, it is the weakest of the all. However, there is no reason to not be hopeful that the novel will somehow be expanded by screenwriters into two movies with new, added elements and a new life will be given to the novel.

5. The Hobbit Part 3
As abovementioned, some might agree that the Hobbit films should not even exist; nonetheless, The Hobbit Part 3 is still a highly anticipated film that brings an end to the trilogy. While it is fair enough to be excited for the movie itself, especially fans of BBC’s Sherlock, it quite hard to understand how a modest little book got turned into three movies.

4. The Amazing Spider-Man 2
The Amazing Spider-Man could have been a much greater film than it is considered to be, perhaps even better than Sam Raimi’s version, if only the story had not already been told. Fortunately, now that the origins story of Spidey has been told, The Amazing Spider-Man 2 is Marc Webb’s chance to tell a better and darker story, and that is what the upcoming sequel is expected to be.
Release date: May 2, 2014.
Robopocalypse, an upcoming film based on a novel by Daniel H. Wilson and set to be released next year, holds immense potential considering the fact that it is being directed by Steven Spielberg. As the name suggests, the plot of the movie revolves around robots on a murderous rampage, and what makes it even more appealing are the rumors about Chris Hemsworth taking on the lead role.
Release date: April, 2014.
With Darren Aronofsky directing it, Noah can be expected to be a dark, existential and visually sumptuous take on the Biblical tale. Something politically charged and very dark can also be expected considering that Aronofsky claims that the film is going to be about a man who has become disappointed by humanity’s treatment of their planet, while Aronofksy’s graphic novel of the same name also gives hints.
Release date: March 28, 2014.
As of yet, reimagining of fairy tales have not been very successful. However, for some reason that Robert Stromberg, who is sitting in the director’s seat for the very first time, will add a new, dark twist to Sleeping Beauty, by bring the tale from the perspective of the Maleficent, the wicked fairy, with Angelina Jolie playing Sleeping Beauty’s nemesis.
